Experienced Payroll bureau administrator
The Position
We an immediate vacancy for an experienced Sage and Xero Payroll administrator for a three day week being Wednesday , Thursday and Friday given the payroll cycle.
Your typical week-to-week and month-to-month would include:-
- Ensuring the smooth running of the payroll (including Auto-enrolment) function for 150+ portfolio of payroll clients (1000+ employees)
- Ensuring all returns are made to HMRC, Pension Regulator and various pension providers on a timely basis
- Ensuring clients are made aware of their liabilities to HMRC and pensions provides
- Liaising with HMRC and pension providers
Making suggestions to improve internal processes
You may have some junior members of staff supporting you, and initially a fully qualified accountant overseeing, but will eventually be solely in charge of the company’s full payroll portfolio.
The Person
The successful candidate will be required to fulfil the following essential criteria;
- You will need a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a hands on Sage and Xero payroll position including processing Irish payrolls and CIS submissions
- You will have dealt with all aspects of client payroll requirements, including all the requirements of Auto-enrolment
- You have a sound technical understanding of complex payroll queries and issues and be keep fully to date with all the legislative changes
- You will have experience looking after large client portfolios and have evidence of this
- You have ideally managed other, more junior payroll staff / administrators
